Low-Residue Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes

Low-Residue Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes

The flakes have a silver-gray appearance and a particle size distribution of 90% between 3 and 20 mm. They have a density of 7.2 g/cm3, a melting point of 1245°C, and a boiling point of 1962°C.

Deskripsi

Description

Low-residue EMM flakes are produced through an electrolytic process using manganese ore and an electrolyte solution. The process results in a product with a low residue content, typically less than 100 parts per million (ppm) of impurities such as iron, copper, and nickel.

Low-residue EMM flakes have excellent electrical conductivity, with a value of 5.5 x 106 S/m at 20°C. They also have good thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity, making them useful in applications that require heat transfer.

The flakes are insoluble in water and may produce toxic fumes of manganese dioxide upon heating or combustion. As with any hazardous material, it's important to store and handle low-residue EMM flakes with care, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials and sources of ignition. Appropriate protective equipment should also be used during handling.

Low-Residue Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes

Low-residue EMM flakes find applications in a variety of industries, including the steel industry, where they are used as an alloying element to improve the strength and durability of steel. They are also used in the production of batteries, electronics, and other high-tech applications that require a low-residue, high-purity metal.

Low-Residue Electrolytic Manganese Metal Flakes

Low-residue EMM flakes are typically packed in sealed steel drums or wooden boxes, depending on the supplier's preference and the quantity of material. The packaging is designed to protect the EMM flakes from moisture and other contaminants during transportation and storage. The weight of the drums or boxes may vary depending on the quantity of EMM flakes packed inside. It's always important to check with the supplier for specific details on their product packaging.
